Well after what seems like forever here are a couple of pics of how Trev's GTS-t is getting on  Some of you must have thought it was a figment of his imagination but it's very close to being unleashed  . The pictures below show the new bespoke drag suspension set-up and rear diff.

Image

This diff will cope with well over 2000 hp so Rich won't be breaking this one :-D . The driveshafts have been shortened 3" each side.

Image

The chassis has been cut to fit the suspension.

This pic is the mounts from inside the car 8)

The suspension is fully adjustable, the pic was supposed to show the top of the diff but is quite dark :(

I simply can't wait to see this behemoth run  .............I have heard hushed whispers that when the engine was on the dynocell, testing the turbo, that it made "well over 800hp @ 7.5k"........and the car now weighs in at about 1070kg

A drag racing box is ready to go in when the testing has finished on the engine and everything wound up full.........and to think it will be tax and mot'd for its class :o :o

Rich was grinning like cheshire cat when he was told of the cars expected figures on the strip :smoke:.

Good stuff. With the wheel base like that you should be able to move the balast about a lot. The rose jointed rod ends are really worth while.
have you concidered adding weight to the rear of the car to aid the launch. Also its worth thinking about getting a new pedal box so you can move the driver further back in the car. It is worth using the driver as balast

Scott everthing was explained to me but it was in 'your speak' and went over my head :-D . The suspension is being made by a drag racing veteran and I forgot to add the shocks are 3 stage and will help provide massive grip.

Fantastic Dan and very well done to Roly/Trev/Rich :)

You may have to explain to everyone else that you two call each other Rich as well as Roly, Dan etc otherwise they may be a bit perplexed

So pleased that Trev had the bottle to stick with it...........three more weeks eh? :lol

You are about to have lots of fun and also lots of frustration LOL,,,,

Drag racing is so technical at the high end but the fealing from launching a fast car on a fully preped track is like no other.

I still dont know if i will have a car next year but i hope to see you on the strip.

Wow that axle looks fantastic, I am sure she can handle big horsepower figures, looks sturdy as a rock. Hope you got a heavy anchor to throw out?
