well, i have now had the min for a few weeks and i love it, handling is awesome just a bit short on power after the P1 but in all honesty i'm not missing the old scoob at all
modifications are going to be fairly small but all mega researched and made to improve the car as best i can for not too much money this time!!!!
so it all begins, free flow panel filter is in already, rear window tints are going in friday, a beautiful catback handmade exhaust will be here tomorrow with some courier luck, this is one of only 10 made so is a bit special, then next month we're off to 1320mini at st neots for a change of pulley, sticky belt, different plugs and a before and after dyno run
wheels will get changed at some point and i have a few asthetic tweeks in mind so a case of watch this space guys

Nice one mate!
I love mine, so much fun, has your got a LSD? They go round corners well don't they
Be interesting to see how it goes with the pulley etc.

LSD was apparently an optional extra and yes, mine has got one, cornering is just silly and thats still on bloody run-flats at the minute but a second set of wheels is in the plan too

Yup, optional extra. Mine has it as well. Surprised a few of your old cars owners around the twisties
I junked the run flats and put on some Yoko Prada's. Ride and grip in the dry improved like you wouldn't believe over the Pirelli run flats!
Prada's are pony in the wet though!

The guys at 1320mini seem to know their stuff around these cars, only ever drove one once and loved it to bits:thumbs:

Em has a Cooper and we love it. Quite a practical car also (holds all my fishing gear when I'm allowed to borrow it !!).
I agree the runflats are terrible though, looking into replacements for those as the ride is just HARD !! Even compared to the coilovers on my RX7.
Cooper S must be very quick.

I've done 2 red letter days at Rockingham in Minis, one with a charger and the other turbo. Both were awesome fun, you really can chuck them about once the instructor is comfortable

ask 1320 about there newman cams for the cooper s they sold .
Some serious issues they know about too . . . yet continue selling them flat spotted lifters . worn cam lobes and more .
Good service but steer clear of the newman cam
