Well thought i might aswell make a start on a project thread for the old girl :D (even though i don't have the car just yet)

Edit: car spec for those interested :)

1995 Supra SZ-R Import
Manual
2JZ-GE
100% standard body
17" sz-r/turbo wheels
UK big brake spec brakes installed front and rear (bigger than import sz-r/turbo brakes)
electric everything and all working
standard cloth interior with mandatory rear leather bucket seats
full HKS dragger exhaust system

So, what do i have planned for the car :lurk5: well we're going OEM appearence all the way with this one :thumbs: here's the rough outline;

Exterior;
Stock body with the OEM side skirts and rear spats
Paint the front lower lip from black to silver
Buy the front "active" spoiler and fit that on
Possibly upgrade the lights to the facelift version (black inner rather than chrome) or just disassemble and spray the inside black
Space the stock wheels out with 20mm hub spacers

In a nutshell, it'll be pretty much like this one;

Image

Interior;
Source a tidier steering wheel
New gear knob
New gear gaiter
Relocate or remove the digital speedo/speed trap box thing from the top of the dash
Replace front seats with optional Supra leather Recaros

Image

Thats about it :D do remember though that i said "stock" appearence. :thumbs: it already has a full HKS stainless steel exhaust system on it, so thats the only non stock looking thing on it :)

And today i bought a pair of these;

Ready for mine and Davids moody photoshoot :thumbs:

Oh, only 4 days now :sifone:

Looking good Dan.

Those recaros just look like leather versions of the Recaro speeds.

Oh and you left the lens cap in the pic of the numberplates :)

Exciting times Dan! Knowing you, that lens cap was left in the photo deliberately for a bit of kudos ;)

Those seats are lovely (spot on Gareth with the model) but I bet they are a bloody fortune! Best of luck but I bet you settle for an easier to source or cheaper option; I may be wrong.

Four days eh..........I bet that's going to drag like mad :nod:

Thanks Stu, glad to see my days spent salivating over anything with Recaro in the title has paid off.

Dan, I kinda like the numberplates. Know its a bit gimmicky but think it'll look cool when you have pics done. But just be careful where you have the pics taken, you dont want jap plates on then only to have an English sign in the background :)

Looking forward to seeing the car mate. Try cleaning the lights first as its free although you sound like me who is about to do a 99 spec light conversion on my car :)

That's my exact intention mate :nod: like i say picture a 99% standard Supra parked up at places like snett or santapod on jap plates, like it's been teleported from the 90's. would be awesome :) but yeah i will watch out for those signs, that would be a pretty bum move forgetting those!

Russ has kindly offered his services first to see if he can better or cure the cloudy light problem :) again if all else fails then it's a black light conversion :D
