This may be one of those crock of shit threads that comes to fuck all, but maybe not........

My thoughts are shifting to 2011 and how I'll get some automotive kicks. With Norfolk Arena running practice every month and Snett 100 being built and run for the coming season, a drift car could provide the budget fun that I desperately need. I like skids and having a laugh. I don't like getting bum raped with bills more costly than buying the car in the first instance. I like the social element to these sorts of things so I started thinking about the possibility of a jointly owned/run drift shed.

This brings up a whole host of questions

Is it viable? (more likely to be 'How can this work?')

Practical things/costs/planning? Where would it be stored? How would it be transported? How would it be maintained financially?

What sort of car would be good? (I have my ideas but if it's a joint venture, you should have your input too)

Who's in? I'm thinking of an initial chip in of at least

stu,im sure i can help out with space to store outside,some workshop time on a sat (might be nice to have a feew people over on a sat).

I quite like the idea of something really light, I mean really light, and purely about handling. It would need to be durable with several animals driving it in quick succession, so maybe an NA would be better? I guess that also depends on peoples level of familiarity with the chosen car........it's not fair to assume any one person will keep the thing running (in terms of effort)

Just to add, I would be more than happy to chip in a share (id love to give drifting at the arena a go). But to face facts my biggest struggle is with my time and could n`t spare much of what little i do have on yet another toy.

I'm in - obviously dependant on costs ...
