Couldn't think where else to post these but got these pics off my phone earlier and thought i'd share.

So in hindsight i should've slowed down or found an airline when I realised I had a soft tyre due to it pulling left a bit

nigh on 3 tonne RR Sport Supercharged, big speed, well 70 anyway

So when it went pop it did it well!!

I actually quite liked the spare wheel on it, gave it that kinda cool "euro steely" look that I'm sure has a name but i don't know!!

That was caused by low pressure? ...

Rat look Range Rover!! Awesome :)

Joking aside mate, you were very lucky. A credit to the cars safety or your ability to react like a Jedi and save the day............. (clever Rangey then? ;) )

Rat Look - knew there'd be a proper name!!

Cheers Stu! I actually did feel a bit of a hero keeping it on the black stuff, was on the new A120 so only 2 lanes and no hard shoulder so not much space and when it went bang it did all get a bit "urgent" i have to admit!! But yeah, will also cough to masses of luck there, couldve been loads worse as I wasnt hanging about.

Ben - Well It must have been low pressure, esp as it's the sidewall that was gone, car was pulling left a bit on M11 and I thought it was side wind, then on the big sweeper that you can really cane round onto the A120 i went charging in and it felt all baggy and unresponsive and i said to my pillion that the front left mus be soft, but just carried on as no garages to stop at there anyway.

I reckon all that weight and speed on a soft tyre was just too much heat build up and the sidewall blew out. It absolutely stunk and there was moulten rubber everywhere. Quite funny once we knew it was all ok tho

"Cor yeah Mildred, do you remember the time we nearly rolled my 3 tonne 35k Range Rover doing 70mph with a flat tyre? That was a giggle wasn't it?"

On the subject of "Rat" Rangeys - quick pic of it when the suspension collapsed - this was taken just before Land Rover picked it up and took it off to fix.

Was well funny (well I thought it was, the doris disagreed), It was absolutely on the deck, tow bar kept hitting the floor on the a120 and as it was sitting on the bump stops it was swapping lanes if I hit a cats eye....., hmm perhaps i should think about taking a different route as all bad appears to happen to the RR on the 120 :smilielol5:

Very "urban" mate, looks like Westwood has been at it.
