Yes, i am in competition with Trev. I have bought another car.

An extremely clean Rover 100 non sunroof shell and this under the bonnet

Image

A low mileage 2004 MG TF160 VVC lump

It has a Talon loom conversion, converted MGFTF solid mounted front subframe with PG1 gearbox and Quaife LSD, Bilstien front shocks, individualised hydrogas and polybushed all round, rear disc conversion, 6 point cage, Cobra buckets, Sabelt harnesses plus some rare 14" KN Dytec wheels.

Had it on the rollers

Pleased with the figures of 165.9 ponies and 127.1 torques, but this car is circa 30kg heavier than my current 'Tro so if i get it down to a similar weight we are looking at 210hp/T. With cams, pulleys and remap we are looking at 180+hp so 230hp/T.

If i can get it handling as well as my other car, we are looking at Exige performance for around

How do you find these things!
And it's not as if you needed a faster Metro now was it?
Good addition to the fleet though ;)

That looks like a lot of laughs. Easy decision about Cadwell mate; take the new one and have some real fun :) Not sure about 'Exige performance' but I take your point about power to weight.

Any reason for taking the front bumper off for the dyno run?

Firstly, the bumper was being resprayed at H Tech and was still wet so had to drive to Dyno with number plate cable tied on lol.

I am very happy with the weight distribution & suspension set up on the old Metro so will take the new one if it is sorted.

Yes, exige performance on paper perhaps, but probably not handling lol.
