Mk2 golf track car, 200bhp 16v plus nitrous

I thought i would stick a few pics up of the golf i have have been building over winter with the help of my mate Matt (LMR) :)

It started off as Matts shell had which used to be his 20vt turbo show car..

as you can see it was hanging lol.. had been sitting for nearly a year under a tree...
so i washed it :)


then i took the wings off and undersealed it all and sorted out the engine bay...

the shell was already fully polybushed with mk3 vr6 running gear and subframes :)

then i painted my rollcage white..

all the windows were removed and cut 3mm perspex..
the interior was lightnened and painted

we then set to work rebuilding and detailing the engine

we located the battery and washer bottle into the boot

next we built a new dashboard....

then we basically put it together.. fitted nitrous, seats etc etc
got it through the MOT :) and gave it some stickers :D

Really like that. The wheels and stance are spot on; I love the interior and simplicity of it. Nit picking maybe but I preferred it before the stickers went on, but obviously I appreciate it's your car and cars like ours are all about personal preference.

You'll have to let us know what events you're taking part in. Best of luck :thumbs:
