Our New Hack / Race Support Vehicle....

Post by Safety_James »

As some of you may know my other half has raced in the Lodge Sports Porsche Cup 2 seasons ago (bit disastrous), last year in the Jaguar XK Challenge with her Dad which he became champion of, and the Silverstone Classic 2009 and looking to get back into it properly this year.

Both Race Cars

We have always had to rely on her father to tow the race car to her events behind the motor-home, despite his commitments to his own racing series we thought we ought to get a vehicle that will tow her new race car so he doesn't have to sacrifice his race meetings..

She's selling her every day 2004 Beetle TDI (For Sale Soon ;) ) for this which will be delivered this week :D :D...
Found it on eBay, it didn't sell and we struck a bargain deal with the seller privately.

2004 - 1 Owner 110 Defender TD5 with all the toys, central locking, heated seats, all a luxury for a Landrover

Her first car was a Defender 90 TD5 and has sworn by them ever since, so we thought we ought to get something a little bigger...

Just trying to find the right race car now for 2010, she's going into the racingline VW cup so its going to be a 3.2 Beetle RSI race car as she does love her beetles..

Also includes a tent, which will be converted to some form of mini awning to work on the car, sink with water heater, 3-point plugs in the back with an on board generator.. the previous owner went to town on it.. :smash:

She does want to get it chipped though as it makes a difference with regard to towing and power... Mr Hayward ;) ?!

Alright for the landed gentry ;)

That looks great James. I can't think of why you'd choose that instead of something like a Disco, unless your Mrs likes rust, the cold, worse economy and travelling at 50mph everywhere :D

(I'm only jealous)

Best of luck with the racing in 2010

That is a well equipped support vehicle, nice purchase:D. Also given me an idea I might have to look into getting the Fronty chipped.
