Having had lengthy conversations with Dan, MSN chats, texts, emails and all that jazz, one of our regular catch ups started to take a lot more purpose. There was a determination in Dan that meant that he was Hell bent on buying something built purely to put a grin on his face.
A couple of early choices had been sold before he could get there and then this little beauty presented itself. Phone calls were made, emails exchanged and like days of old, Dan and I departed on a day trip to sunny Brighton to pick up the little fella.
The trademark inspection when through it's paces with the obligatory tyre kicking and teeth sucking done and truly dusted. Now all we had was the small matter of a 180 mile test drive home
I'll let Dan take it from here but all I will say is that it's great to have him back on board

Right, not only have I been away from here but computers in general....after a quick photobucket and posting lesson from the big man I'll try again
I sold the cerb a few months ago to buy a little house which is great and all that jazz but after just a few weeks I knew I needed something to fill a void and drive fast. A tow mule and track toy were needed. Now I coudn't afford or want another money pit just something to make me grin. As luck would have it Stu found the pug in the classifieds I had already looked at:cheers2:
It needs some work but alot has already been done and compared to the trev it costs shillings and farthings and not gold bars;)
Here is a quick spec list
OMP Roll Cage
OMP Front Upper Strut Brace
Bilstein Group N Front Shocks
Bilstein Rear Shock Absorbers
Dunlop Road Legal Slicks
Sparco Evo Bucket Seats
Sparco Wheel & Boss
Toad Alarm & Imobiliser
Sabelt Harnesses
Full Kent PT27 cam kit
Kent Adjustable Vernier pulley
Double Valve Springs
Ported & Polished inlet and exhaust ports
K&N induction kit
New Cam Belt
New Timing Belt
New Head Gasket (obviously)
Fresh Clean Oil
New CV boot
New Exhaust
Race Gear shift Linkages
Its also got a 1.6 box and 1.9 donkey so its quite short legged:driving:
At the mo its got mot and tax but its going to be just a trailer queen unless it sails through its next mot but really I want to tow it and then just hammer it and whatever happens I'll just tow it home.........good times.
Here is the tow mule......
at least its RWD and a V8;)....... just got to get a tow bar and trailer and we are away.
