Engine

Post by puggsy »

Winter's coming and thoughts turn to refreshing the engine. What to go for? With evo's, there's a couple of routes to go down. Either just going forged or stroker. I'd like to do a bit more spinting and more track days, so i don't know what's best to go for. Obviously stroked is going to be more expensive. This is also my daily drive, so i don't want to go too mad and leave it undriveable on the road. 450-500bhp would be nice, but there again it's how it's delivered that counts. At the mo it's about 350afw and 280 torques. Staying with 2ltr forged, i can leave it at that till i have spare cash for a new turbo etc, but going stroker, there's alot more expences to think about, removing balancer shafts etc. Any thoughts guys?
