Found a 1992 Toyota Soarer 2.5 TT for not a lot

Aim is to have it as a road legal sprint/track day car.

Engine is standard at the moment (280 bhp) going to concentrate on shedding weight (boot & rear seats already removed in 15 minutes...) and suspension (got some coilovers on order)

Will fiddle with engine when bits go wrong

Should be some fun

Get some details of this Dave

I very nearly bought one recently and accidentally bought a Jag instead

Still on the list of cars I must own!

What coilovers are you getting? What weight do you reckon this will be when you've finished?

Getting B C Racing coilovers (car has the TEMs units fitted)

according to the manual car is 1600 kg or there abouts.

Bits taken out so far weigh approximately 60/70 kgs. Front seats are about 30 kgs each ones I'm getting to replace are about 10 kgs

Today i'll get rid of the sound proofing under the bonnet and start looking for a carbon/grp replacement bonnet.

Also looking for a smaller battery as what it has is big enough to light up a small town :o

Will try and get the whole thing weighed when done but hoping for 1400/1500 kgs with 1/2 tank of fuel

with what i've done today the ride height has gone up by 20/30mm !!

This is my second Soarer wicked cars.........

I'd really want a 2000 manual vvt-i one but they still demand decent money in japan :(

I really like that, like the Advans too :)

Please keep this update Dave; it may well be the encouragement I need to dabble.
