my 3rd scoob

well onto my third scoob my 1st was stolen, second caught fire and heres my third...
WRX shell
uk engine and runnning gear
spec is has follows
uk EJ20
TD05
nismo 550cc injectors
nissan Z32 MAF
apexi front mount
hks air filter
tubalar manifold with matching uppipe
3" straight through exhaust...
blitz boost controller running 1bar would like to run 1.5
apexi AFC (not yet set-up)
chipped ECU
suspension lowered on eibach springs with KYB dampers
RA alloy lower arms
330mm compbrake front brakes to be fitted yet...
alloy bonnet and boot
loads left todo yet but thats the progress so far

Interested to hear how you get on with the 330mm Compbrakes. I hear they're better than the 278mm ones I used to have - my smaller kit had different calipers which restricted pad choice and had bad rattle which I cured eventually.

had them on the scoob before it went up... cold there shocking but once upto temp they come into there own, which i suppose thats the norm for brake kits such has these?.
never suffered from pad rattle TBH not there a massive improvement to standard 2pots

A lot depends on the pads, and I found both of the Hawk pad compounds needed heat to work acceptably. There are much better compromises out there, which I think will fit your calipers.

I have to be honest Gareth, I really like Impreza's without the wings. I probably would have run my old classic without one if I hadn't smashed it to bits.
Looks like a nice solid spec. As Gerry mentioned, one of the ways we make sure that there is no pub style bragging about power is to insist on dyno sheets for all BHP claims.
If you can post that up when you get the chance, that would be great. By the way, is that you looking nervous in the background :lol:

fair do's about the dyno graph but i really aint got a clue has to where it is will remove the figures till i can back it up
nah was a group off us who went and we all thought it was going to blow has id just finished the car the night before im behind the cam

yeah im sure the ferodo's fit these calipers bu couldnt be 100% godspeed currently have it repairing the thread but not heard nothing from them has yet to when ill see it again...
turbo blew last night so cars back to been parked up looking for a direct replacement TD05 and think ill put the standard re-circ valve back on. not happy but oh well :x
