Project SiR

Post by Rob_B »

hello guys,
thought i'd start a little thread about my new project

Now that we have got a vito van for work myself and ben have decided to get little toys for ourselves

Ben has brought himself a road legal quad bike and i have brought a certain little CRX SiR

Image

now this car has already had a lot done to it(im sure those of you who know rob will know the history) - so my aim is just to complete the car and keep her looking subtle

jobs to do so far are

new battery
fix clutch/gearbox issue(pivot fork)
new brakes
remap ecu
new s/s exhaust system
lower the rear end

i very pleased with my new little gem - it takes me back to the old days where i had an uk vtec (pics here for you rob :) )

hopefully the new project will be even better

Looks like fun,

What engine does the SiR have compared to the Vtec?
1998 - 4.6L V8 - Manual Box - Ford Mustang
225 BHP @ 4750rpm - 290 ft lb @ 3500 rpm

Those pictures do the car no justice at all Rob

I'm looking forwards to seeing this getting fixed and on to the track.

Good to see it is being looked after.

I found the spare set of springs in the boot of the jag still, and also unearthed a rear strut brace for the car that is yours too if you want it.
