Well here goes chaps and chapesses, a little project a mate and myself have been working on. Having decided that i really enjoy doing track days i decided that it would be best to dedicate my car to it, but thought it was worth too much so a friend and my self went halfs on a golf vr6 :D . Though when i went to look at it the engine had a bad knock to it :( though the body work was good and a few nice parts on it we decided to take a chance.
When we got it back we had a good look round and found it had coilovers, poly bushed wishbones, remus catback exhaust, 2.9 inlet manifold and throttle body been told its been chipped but no proof, and i believe the rear arm my be poly bushed aswell, but as for the engine we hoped it was the head/lifters that were faulty but after giving it a service and changing them it didnt help so i droped the sump and oil pump and started checking the shells only to find it had spun one :? having priced up the cost of repairing it we decided to replace the engine. So with a hunt round (good ole ebay) we found one, I've changed the chain guides and checked the clutch, ive also striped out the inside of the car (which becomes addictive) its just waiting for a weekend to change the engines over. with any luck it will be at marham on the sunday :)

You can't really see from the pic but it had spun a shell into its other half, so only was on half a shell. Didn't really knock to much. All good fun stuff as I've not done much on fwd cars so everything's in the wrong place. Loleks done most of the work so fare........ then I fix it
Will make a good track toy. Will need some tips on weight saving.
