I promised myself that i wouldn't get a track car till i'd been trading for a year..however came across this little gem, and for the money i just couldn't resist(neither could BP members james and matt who also have a stake in the car :P )

its a nissan 200sx s13 with 102k on the clock finished in matt black, the colour is very marmite - i quite like it

the car has a few minor mods, and to be honest we are going to keep it this way, as we want more reliable fun and want to keep to a strict budget

the car came with:

APEX FMIC
Full 3" Stainless exhaust - Turbo back
TEIN front strut brace
TEIN spring
brand new rad, water pump and fan
new front brakes
engine has under gone bottom end rebuild
Rear strut brace
16" Rota Grid alloys in white
GReddy Turbo timer
Boost and oil pressure gauges
Brand new and boxed Walbro and DriftWorks MBC
Front bucket seats
OMP racing wheel
Another set of s13 alloys and tyres
spare CA18DET(needs bottom end rebuild)
spare welded diff

the car has been fully stripped now and has had a full service and compression test with 150psi per cylinder :-D :-D

next job is to replace inlet manifold gasket and get her ready for the track day at the end of the month at snetty

anyway here are a few pic of the car(work in progress)

first we put it on a diet

The OMP steering wheel is yet to be fitted

I'm sure I have seen this for sale in the not too distant past... :?:

If it is the same one, I thought about it myself as a budget drifter/track toy..

Little Update....

Did a few more things to it today...

Rob spent half the day fighting with the inlet in order to change 2 pesky yet importaint gaskets!! :x Biggest problem was the little workspace and room for movement in the engine bay when trying to do anything!

Image

Having removed the seats, runners and carpet I got stuck into the less painful job of laying tar (matt black paint) into the whole interior giving it that more "racey" feel, rather than the dull two tone interior metals from previous resprays. Also removed the god awful standard steering wheel and fitted the brand new omp wheel and boss. Just have to leave the whole interior to dry out before i put the seats back in with harnesess.

The aim is to possibly fabricate a roll cage at Matts work too..

Il post a picture of the finished interior this week once all in, as at the moment she is drying!!

This week its just a focus on cleaning the inlet, getting the gaskets back in, sorting the timing out and firing it up.

With free time being minimal while we are all working alot it wont be done over night however its a fun project that we are all getting involved in with learning curves all the way..

More soon!
