[GT4 Baz]

Hi guys

Thought I would post up a couple of pictures of my GT4 and a spec list. I have had it for just over 2 years now, its the first car I have ever worked on myself, all of these mods have been carried out by me, for better or worse :oops: :lol:

When I got the car it had a Jap bean can exhaust that was blowing and the obligitary HKS filter. Suspension wise it was completely standard.

Since then I have have fitted:

Engine

Greddy Profec B
Blitz Access ECU
XS Power DP
Mongoose Exhaust
Straight Intake with Green filter (and home made airbox :oops: )
Pro Alloy FMIC and custom (home made :oops: pipe kit)
Koyo Rad
Oil cooler

TRD Topmounts
Front Poly ARB bushes

Body work

Removed Passenger main beam to feed filter
Removed rear wiper
Removed Electric Aerial





On this lot I made 330 BHP and 363 lbs/ft at Surrey Rolling Road using 1.3 bar on the standard hair dryer :lol: , injectors and cams. The car corner weighed in at 1355kg with half a tank of fuel, despite my best weight saving efforts I have removed over 100kg and its still portly! Although the weight was well spread around the car so its not all bad.

Anyway, as you may be able to make out from the crappy picture, the AFR's were "interesting" on the Blitz ECU:



Stays at 14.7 up to 3800rpm!

So I moved it through and bought a PFC. This is due to be mapped early August along with some SARD 800cc injectors so we shall see how the mapping goes....

Nice write up Baz & a very tidy example of a ST205.
I bought & fitted a Biltz Access only last week :? Might have to get my ass over the Surrey Rolling Road ASAP (was there for the OC day in spring 07 & maded 282bhp, so best to go back there).

Hopefully i'll have a fellow GT-4 up against me at a few sprints, although reading your spec i could well get beat!!!

Yeah it was staying in closed loop for too long, you could feel the boost build but because there was no fuel, the car didn't accelerate hard. Once it hit 3800rpm and it came out of closed loop, off you went! :lol:

Russell, get yours checked buddy, I didn't like the idea of sitting that lean for so much of the rev range so I changed it. All of the Blitz's are slightly different so you maybe ok?

You can tell if its the same, the car wil seem to hold back until high 3 krpm then accelerate hard. By that time your boost gauge should have been at full boost.

Also, its not all about the mods mate, I have been beaten by Patrik Mortell in his N/A MR2 but at the same time I have beaten far more powerful cars in the TSS series too.

Its all about the drivers state of mind on the day...
