After getting nostalgic after seeing Steves and Stuarts Mk2s I quite fancied another one. Alway has 8v'ers so wanted to try a 16v'er for a change. Found one on the fleabay going cheap and managed to win it for the princely sum of

You might have met him on a trackdays I've been too, so I doubt you would have  Mee Oww!

I hope it turns out to be a good project, I fancy a go at racing and hopefully wont end up at the back of the pack every time.

It's going to replace the Honda for a track car as it's too expensive to keep trackdaying. The engine is bomber but the rest of the car is typical british volume car manufactuer crap. Am selling it to buy a cheap runabout too.

This Golf will keep my interested until I can afford a really track bias car with no roof, windscreen, heater etc. I quite like the look of the Spire GTR as a winter build project.

Head is properly fucked, so have decided to kill the car off and start again. Norwich engine center said it got mega hot and banana'd the head. Seeing how fast/hard it was driven I quite believe them.

Didn't even get to drive it
