This time last year, my lairy painted Skyline sat neglected in the corner of the yard at work, with a suspect oil leak, blowing exhaust manifold, and a lack of interest from me...
Well having taken inspiration from a few members of Big Power, and a new found drive to get a track project underway, I decided to make use of the skyline.
I dont have many pictures from during the colour change, I was all too keen to get it painted...!
Im not sure of the origins of the front bumper, but its a fibreglass replica of something, intended for a GTR. The bonnet is from a GTR, as is the grille and rear spoiler (thanks Stu!) :-D
The wheelarches have all been flared by at least an inch and a half, this was done using very crude techniques, I basically jammed large round metal objects between the tyre and arch, and rolled the car back and forth until I achieved the desired flare. The rest of the outer panel was then filled to give a factory appearance.
It sounds like a massive bodge but it works perfectly well, no mess, no fuss. Its all very neat and tidy now.
Having painted the outside, I was going to leave the inside bare and grey but then I got hooked on George@DCYs monster R32, and now im right in the middle of constucting a cage.
So far, so good...
These pictures span from a year ago to present, I never used to take a lot of pictures so theres a lot missing but you get the idea.

I decided to move the entry point for the inlet manifold. This wasnt so much for power, but more to tidy up the engine bay and route piping awy from heat sources.

They always look very strange when they're painted but stripped....

Spoiler courtesy of Stu. Best thing ive ever bought.

Scary...

To date, thankyou to everyone thats inspired the build, and helped out and made tea and stuff.
Im off to do some tidying and get some more pictures. :-D
