The engine is out!! After 4 months of it being sat in the garage and me not even looking at it. Myself and my Dad had the engine out in under 4.5 hours including building the engine stand and Engine hoist from their boxes. It was like an F1 operation

Now all thats needed is for me to strip the manifolds and turbo etc off the block and get it over to Zen for the rebuild and put it back in again

One good thing is it so much easier taking an engine out knowing exactly what needs to be done....although I would have rather not bothered :!:

Right, Sunday night wine beckons. chow bellas.

Yup, think so, although pushing it out into the open did get my heartstrings going. It's a better looking car than the Evo IMO.

Par for the course with most regularly used performance cars guys. Sooner or later, they all tend to go pop.

Nice to see that the engine removal went smoothly. Lets hope that the rest of the work goes just as well, then you can have a choice of which World beating WRC offspring you take on the B3 competitors with........how cool is that :D

I had a similar time today, had to split the gearbox today to find out why the clutch wouldn't disengage. Found the clutch plate had snapped outwards from one of the springs. Luckily the standard ones are cheapish

Second time around everything seems so much easier.
