Firstly thanks you all for your advice and encouragment.

I hope I can rely on it more in the future as I have just jumped right in at the deep end!!

I intend to restore this myself as some of you are aware and that did have influence the decision. The car has a race bred chassis developed over years of rallying and I have bought one of the very last to be made. I also intend to do most of the engine work myself (sorry Gary) and this simple engine and carb set up seemed perfect.

I hope you all like my choice cos I do!!!!! Going to pick her up on Wednesday and can't wait. If all goes well will prob bring her on the 13th. Any advice on the day will be gladly accepted.

Please bear in mind this is going to be a restoration not a stripped out roll caged monster (mind you I know where there's an RB26 not being used at present!! :-$ :-$ :-$ ) He He

Sorry bout quality of photos but they are from the seller.

Well here she is.

And the best bit!!!!

Good choice! Love classic rally cars, and we need more of them in Norfolk.

...But please put some airfilters on the poor Webbers after the rebuild. The engine deserves clean air.

Nice - the first time I was really scared in a car - it was an opel manta - when you're 17 they are fast !!! ... or it could have been the tartan seats.

Looking forward to seeing it.

Thanks Guy's

Always knew when looking that what I would get for my money would need work and prob a lot of it :D
Currently has MOT till June so will prob drive it for a bit seeing where she is at mechanically and chassis wise, fixing what we can along the way, then if all goes to plan off the road and the hard work begins!!!

Looks like we gonna be fighting over the roll cab now!!!!

Seriously guys Suz is determined to do most of the work herself and for those of you who do know her she can be VERY determined ... :x

Took a sneak peak at ebay and there are one or two bits around but may need some help tracking things down in the future.
I will be there to lean on but she is taking this on as a learning curve and i am sure there will be times when she will need some encouragement.

Good luck to my girl and hope its not finished before the skyline!!!!!!!!
