An E30 Project

Gone and brought myself an E30 325i se
It's a 1988 Dolphin grey 2 door and has done 99k
The car itself is pretty standard I think it may of been chipped as I found another chip in the ashtray and a sticker under the bonnet from Clive Athowes stating it was tuned to 172 bhp (no proof of this though!) it also has a stainless exhaust fitted.
Needs to have a little bit of work to tidy it up a bit but then going to make it in to a track biased daily driver!
Will post some pics when I take some.

Spent the last couple of days tinkering with the car it has a niggly issue with the Idle.
It keeps reving high then hunting for an idle have cleaned out the air box, MAF, Idle control valve and throttle body with carb cleaner and so far it seems to be better but I have a few other things to try.
Also have been tackling the rust to be fair its not too bad just a bit on each sill and the nearside rear wheel arch. For a 20 year old car it is in bloody good condition.
Well the plans (so far) are as follows:
Fit a set of coilovers
Better tyres and maybe a bigger set of wheels
ARB
Polybushes
New seat
Harness
A smaller steering wheel (The original is Huge!!!)
Get on track again!!!!

Nice one Rob. Should be fun. I think the idle problem was quite common on these, but i can't remember what the cause is  getting old
I have Whiteline arb's and Superflex/Powerflex bushes on offer at the moment. Give me a ring to discuss what you need mate.
