After much searching it was time to collect Lou`s new car :thumb: Unfortunately, that meant a trip to Bromsgrove which is South of Birmingham :(

Steph was in the `area` on works business and very kindly offered to be my chauffer for the day, collect me from home, take me to the garage and then he would go to his Hotel ready for tomorrows meeting. He is staying at my house tomorrow and i`m cooking a nice meal to say thanks. Top Bloke. :thumb:

Steph arrived at 10am sharp

Steady drive, he doesnt exceed the speed limit when on works business..

The weather at the summit of the M62 was not exactly `clear`...
Image

A pretty uneventful if long journey as we kept getting stuck in traffic jams :( , then we saw a glimmer of sunshine through the clouds !
Image

I`d offered to buy him lunch, it was the least I could do, so we found a carvery and pulled into the carpark. On the road to the pub, we saw 3 police cars and a bike, not sure what this guy had done wrong (apart from fit chav rear lights...)

Went into the pub for lunch

It was a serve yourself Carvery, so steph helped himself... the chef came out, "I`m supposed to serve you your meat, and those roast potatoes are for garnish, you are not supposed to eat them !!", steph just said, "och, they are on ma` plate now, so i`ll eat em". chef couldnt really answer that

Alex (lizard) rang for a chat whilst steph was eating...

Arrived at the garage, car was nice and shiny.

Went for a test drive before signing paperwork.

After sorting everything out, we drove off, me smiling lots Image. After a short drive, we pulled over, parked Stephs car and went for a drive in the Zed :thumb: Returned to his car and set off home. The plan was to call to see Ian Howell on the way back, but traffic and his business appointments meant we couldnt meet up :( .

The drive home was very stop start, took over 3 hours, but I arrived home, took Mat for a drive, then Louise had a drive.

I think she is happy

I`ll get some more pictures in the daylight :thumb: .

IF we can get it out there, it will do 1 or 2 laps, to earn its sticker.

it took us quite some time to decide after looking at both, but Lou has always wanted a soft top and this may be the only opportunity we ever get to buy a car like this, so we chose the roadster
