Great looking machine, and do you really have your driver side wheels off the ground in the second pic or is that a trick of the light?.

Great looking car.
I read in your thread in the Newbs section that you haven't had it long.
What did you check for when you were looking for a car?
The reason i ask is because one of these are on my short list for my next car. Any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

i knew the guy who was selling it so knew it was an looked after motor, but your just looking for the usual stuff really , Full service history,(if its an import you will be lucky to get this from japan) if its an STi you looking to buy has it been rebuilt which alot of them have was STI internals (these are forged AFAIK could be wrong on this though) or uprated stuff used for the rebuild, if it`s an import your ideally wanting to know if it has been mapped for UK fuel if not has octaine booster been used in every tank, think this tends to be the reason for so much of them going bang people are buying imports and ragging the arse off of them on standard UK fuel and there not mapped for it, japan has a higher spec of pump fuel over there and these cars dont like our fuel lol i wish i could tell you more but im not that technically gifted lol

the cars is still standard apart from a full decat and a few handling mods ARB Anti lift kit etcit was dyno`d by the last owner on dastek rollers at 297BHP and 260 ft/lb of torque,it`s the RA (race altered) version which isnt fitted with ABS, Electric windows, central locking, etc or any luxuries at all the car only weighs something along the lines of 1150 or 1160 KG `s (think its well below 1200 anyway) it has DCCD fitted and a close ratio short shift gearbox (it flies through the gears:) ) and quick rack steering (dunno if the quick rack steering is standard or an optional extra when it leaves the factory)
MODS, ive got a Hybrid FMIC, 550cc injectors K&N induction kit (will maybe convert them bigger though) a Andy Forrest TD05/20G turbo sitting here (fully ported) but was thinking about selling it and buying a MD321H turbo quite fancy the MD321T but will be laggy as hell on a 2L, GT SpecII exhaust manifold, 3" exhaust system, gonna need a new ECU (dunno if im going with another Apexi or a VEM`s) ive a set of cusco coilovers on my other impreza with a set of AP racing brakes im gonna need to swap over at some point, then it will b getting a Andy Forrest remap come time there`s some other bits and bobs lying around i cant remember what they are lol
