After the sad demise of my beloved GTR it was time to get another machine. I thought long and hard about what should replace it and wanted something understated and that would blend in with the commuting crowd :-D .........ladies and gents my new chariot

A bit about the car.... It's a '96 with 26k, 4.2 with a new 4.5 chassis. It had been standing for the last 18 months since the chassis was replaced and it had only covered 400 miles in the last 2 years owing to fact the guy who owned it had bought a 355. He had not planned on selling it because of the amount of wedge he had pumped into it but a routine service on his fezza turned into a 10k bill and that was to prevent a 40k one :o . I took Ian with me to check the mechanical condition of it while I just kicked the tyres. Ian seemed to think it was sound but needed a couple of things to bring it up to spec and he was right. It needed servicing badly and I wanted to get it checked over from top to bottom by a TVR specialist so it is at the garage being fettled with at the moment. As it had been stood up for 18 months and being a TVR the journey home was always going to be interesting and it was :-D . After a couple of days the garage called to say they had had a look around the cerb and was good and bad news  but happily the good outweighed the bad for a change. Basically the old girl is tip top mechanically and only needs abit of fettling to finish the chassis replacement. It seems although the guy paid alot of money for the job some bits were not done properly eg: battery leads touching exhaust manifold causing random electrical problems, an allen key left in situ eventually falling down and laying across my fuel pump terminals causing the breakdown before it got to the garage  . But because the fella had paid top dollar and went for the 4.5 chassis it comes equipped with new Nitron shocks and big AP brakes and spiders :bandit:

The result of allen key being left in car after build :-D

Look how impressed Trev looks after his first go in the cerb.....LMAO

I know this machine is going to be pain in the arse but when it does what it says on the tin I LOVE it

As I said before Dan, it takes a big man to drive a pink car !!!!!!!!!!!

Just joking, looks superb !! Cant believe the issues you had though, talk about shoddy workmanship !

Look forward to seeing this !

Dan was like a racing version of Austin Powers when I saw him with his Cerb. The noise it makes, even to my Skyline weary ears, is shocking....probably akin to me starting the 32 with the exhaust removed completely. Quite how this gets through noise abatement is anyones guess

Really looking forward to hearing you drive the car up the road 5 minutes before you get to the shop :D

Onwards and upwards mate!
