We have spent a long time talking about the second engine set up. We have had a spare engine for some time infact we have got 2 spare engines. One of which came out of a Capri, 1 owner with just 73.000 miles on it.
This is the engine that we are using for the new build.
The spec of the new engine at the moment will be

Ported and Polished Heads
Gas flowed heads
24v scorpio cosworth pistons
Re-profiled cranked
Lightened & balanced flywheel
MF2 fuel injector controller
EMS 6 ignition retard module
High capacity oil pump

Other things which we are still looking into are

Tubular manifold non turbo side
Tubular manifold turbo side
New camshaft
MT-75 diesal gearbox

First job was to get the engine back and get it ztripped down :)

There is a lot of cleaning and refurbing that is needed the majority of which will be done by ourselves

Then we needed to source another janspeed kit :( . This was not easy as the kits are fairly rare and when they do come up for sale they often fetch a far bit.
Finally managed to source one, in fact it's almost 2 complete kits, with 2 turbo's  ummmm!! Twin turbo.. i wonder 8)

The intention is not only to gain more power but more importantly to have the engine revving up quicker, thus getting oue limited power down quicker. The MT 75 diesel gearbox will also aid acceleration as the ratios are shorter, all except 5th gear which is actually taller than our current 5th gear thus raising the theorectical top speed of the car.

We have not yet set a target date for the completion of this build but I expect it to be installed before the end of the year.

Two turbos?! Do it :D

No wonder I can't find any decent bits for my car.... You buggers keep buying them all first  Does the MT75 gearbox bolt on mate or have you got to get some bits fabbed up?

Something will have to be fabbed up to get the MT 75 box to fit.

dont forget the baffled sump thats being made for it as well :-D

stu please dont encuradge him its bad enuf as it is he wont stop
going on about the idea and its normally me with the mental ideas

there is more than enuf parts to go around just so happens that half
of them are in our unit.

as for the gearbox a new bellhousing will have to be made up for it
and be fitted but this should not be a problem i hope.

i'd just like to say that pablo stripped the engine down him self and i was
dead inpressed, well has to learn some time.
