Pablo/Bart,
Apart from the turbo, what other mod's have you made to the car to make it a second and a bit quicker than mine?? Best i could do at the weekend was 16.95, got the urge to make it quicker now. No-one on here said how addictive this stuff is

Looks like a great day out, might have to make the commitment and go up the pod one day, or shall i go to Snetterton, or the Ring.......work's a flippin inconvenience i tell you.

The car is only mildly tuned we're running T04 turbo, low compression pistons and the heads have been recessed. We are also running a seventh injector a help with fueling under boost, although at the moment this is causing us problems. The suspension has been upgraded which does help when launching the car. Standard gearbox uprated black diamond clutch.
We have also partially stripped out the interior to reduce weight

Probably the main factor is the 'Bart factor' 8) Where as I launched the car from 4500rpm Alan (Bart) launched the car from 5500rpm :o

Will have a look at your post about your car and see if there are anymore easy mods that you could make.

Thanks mate, i've only got an MSD chip, twin K and N's and an Ears m'sport exhaust for the engine, and Koni shocks. (Thinking about it, i don't suppose the tools and car cleaning kit in the boot helps  )

Rob,
just a couple of things, am i correct in believing that the MSD chip is of the piggy back variety.
How does the car drive generally and how often do you have it serviced.

if its a piggy back chip there not really that good as they can mess up your ECU
i run a superchip on my GT which acts as the new chip with inside the ECU
as for mods to your car there are a few you can the best one being to get the manifolds
replaced with tubulor ones as the original ones restrict the torque lower down and it fress the engine to
rev better also you could replace the cam with a fast road one.

owe also any kind of motorsport is adictive. :-D

The MSD chip appears to be a piggy back type, but runs fine. I have the car serviced regularly, and with the new chip, it seems to run slightly smoother, with less graduation in the power delivery. Thanks for the tips on the other bits, i'll wait till Stuart blows his engine up, then i'll salavge the bits from it
