Went Jap

Post by Rnash2002 »

Well after much thought i decided to take the plunge and go jap,was looking for a R33 gtst at first but the RWD thing put me off so opted for the one car that ive always like over the years.
she needs a few bits doing to the body work but nothing major, drives really well and goes well, never owned a 4wd car before and was very impressed on the norfolk back roads.
She has a few mods already like full TEIN Suspension adjustable, hks dump valve and cat back exhuast.
Defo need to get a nice set of alloys for her though lol.

Nice looking GTO there-always good to have another in the area.As for the wheels I quite like the stock ones, still prefer my prodrive copies though  As for the Tein's they make a hell of a difference over the stock ECS setup, ive got D2's on mine an completely transformed the car from wallowing on the bends to being rock solid on the twistys. You will love the AWD as it basically means you can drive it in whatever conditions you like,I was out in the single car width backroads yesterday in the wet and a tight left hand bend came up and suprised me,it went round like it was in rails-Id dare say if I was in the Zed,Supra or Skyline I had previously I would have to have been towed out of the ditch.

What plans have you got for it?Is it an Ex-GTOUK car or did you find it yourself?

13T's is where its at.

A couple of months ago I had the option of either a coilover setup or the 13T's and I went the suspension route as That was priority. No point of havinbg the power if it fails on shocks at the next MOT  And youre probably well aware its not as simple as getting a set of stock shocks as replacements as they are just as much as a coilover setup :(

Are you running stock boost?grommet mod?
