My cars.

I drive an MCC Smart City Coupe, a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R and a BMW M3 Evolution Convertible.

There's not a whole lot I can say about the smart car, it's not a bad car and probably bigger inside than you would expect. 600cc single turbo intercooled 3 cylinder 6 valve petrol engine. Bores glaze/rings stick on these engines after 60000 miles so I got mine chear as it was blown and fixed it myself. Returns 52mpg which isn't bad (the diesel version does 100mpg and is free road tax!!). Anyway, it's my work car and daily runabout to save short running the others.

The M3 is a totally standard example, I've not much ambition to change anything on this car except maybe a set of AC Schnitzer type 3 rims. For those not familiar with the m3, the evolution model is a 3.2 litre straight 6 running (apparently) 321bhp though i'd like to see it proven. I don't really intend on tracking it, it's not tight enough and apparently they're quite prone to the rollover protection popping up on the track (bars pop up behind rear headrests through back window).

The pulsar is more of a fun car. It's of an average spec with the following-

HKS air filter,
HKS Sequential blow off valve,
AP Racing Padle Clutch,
Blitz DSBC boost control
Greddy Turbo Timer,
Prof 3" turbo back exhaust system
decat.
Rear roll cage.
KYB SR Special Dampers, KYB -40mm Springs.
Nismo 1.3bar radiator cap

It's not a massive list but the car is good fun to drive, boost is set at 1 bar. I put some 17 inch rims on it for about a week then sold them again only to return to 14's due to the effect 17's had on the handling. I've owned it for over four years now, it's good fun and has been fairly hassle free. As I said in another post, I intend to out the pulsar and get an FD in the near future, I'm just waiting for the right one to come up.

pic on the 17's- rubbish handling!!!

:) I loved my nova. Even looking back at that, all the modifications were performance orientated. No bodykits, well, you remember I guess.

The pic of the m3 was taken on the cliff at kessingland beach. It's a nice place to take them. I took a few there. (click links, I dont want to fill the topic with images)

Woohoo another Smart driver! Bet yours isn't as terrible as mine - I think I blew up the turbo last week and it's very sloooow now (yes, even slower than standard).

Nice M3 - I'd love one of those. :D

Sadly, there's any number of things you could have done to the car, but I doubt you've actually blown the turbo. It could just be the one way valve on the crankcase breather. These go and vent boost slowing you down. It's only a tenner. If you want more info PM me.

Technically the diesels have roadtax, it's once you get to 2001 and emissions based road tax came in that it changes. The emissions on the diesel are so low that it falls into the
