My 200sx s14a

Post by Datsun-Des »

Hi everybody, I'm new on here so I thought I'd put a post up for those of you who don't know me from SXOC.

I had a motorcycle accident in May 04 which left me paralysed from the chest down, and after several months rehab in Stoke Mandeville hospital I was ready to start looking for a car again and getting my life back on track.

I looked at all the mobilty vehicles available but nothing compared to my old '95 s14, in the end I bit the bullett and purchased a 1999 200SX S14a Auto which had only done 42k miles.

I had the car comverted to use hand controls by David Relph, in East Dereham and swore I was going to leave this one standard

I have owned the car 2 years now and the spec is as follows:

Apexi front strut brace
Apex front lower brace
Apex rear strut brace
Apex 'comfy' coilovers
Apex front tension arms
Apex rear camber, traction and toe arms
Apex uprated engine and gearbox mounts
Apex uprated steering rack bushes
Whiteline rear subframe pineapples
Autogauge 52mm Boost, Oil pressure and Oil temp

I also have a few more bits I haven't fitted yet
Apex oil cooler kit
Apex rear toe arm brace
Apex front and rear lower arm bushes
Apex front and rear ARB bushes
Apex rear toe, traction and camber arm outer bushes

I'm going to try and make the snetterton meets, not tonight but probably next month.

As for track days - I might do yet, I'm just a bit wary as the car is my daily driver and I don't want to break it.

I've always got more plans, nothing too mad but I've always got a garage full of bits and bobs to fit. :-D

Cheers, I managed to source most of the parts through SXOC board members and group buys, and I just let APT work their magic

I take it you mean 'kev@tkl', that car is awesome, nice guy too.

Thats a nice looking R32 you've got there btw.

I'll try and make the next Snetterton meet, I might pop along to Woodbridge to watch but I don't think I'll enter a track day just yet.

I used to have a MA70, very heavy car but I loved it, it just felt so solid on the road. I just didn't have the medalion to go with it unfortunately :D

It'll be an event almost as big as a Santa Pod one....obviously without the pit girls and the dancing ones....anyone know any ?!!!?

Sorry for the hijack mate,

Great looking car and really sorry to hear about your accident.

I too had a friend get killed on a bike, was a wet evening, driving down a dead straight road, slipped on some leaves and went underneath a car. Not nice.

Glad to see you bounced back and got something sporty !!!
