Sorry i havent got anything to show you guys at the moment.....here a c ouple of pics of the last decent cars i had.

Fisrt up, my old sil80 track car......this was really well set-up in the chassis department, had some good engine mods aswell.....only owned it for 4 months before i had to sell due to a change in circumstances (relocation and new job)

Second one was my beloved RX7, i had always wanted one of these since i was 12 years old, got it when i was 23 and sold it when i was 25.......i'd always wanted a car that was fully modified, i'm only ever going to do this once in my life and thought why not with the rx7.
Looking back now, it was a bit OTT...haha.....but i wouldnt have done anything different.
If i still had the car to this day, all the "ice" would have come out, the veilside kit would have gone for something like an re-amemiya item, and i would have made it more of a track weapon and used it as such.

Its funny, as you get older (im only 27 now) but your tastes do change....no way am i bothered in modifying a car like that in that way now.....all i'm bothered about is pure performance (and drifting :-D )

Anway, the car was completely rebuilt with a street ported engine by a rotary specialist in cheshire, fitted with a greddy t78 turbo, greddy FMIC, greddy filters, greddy everything!!!, fueling was handled by 1600cc injectors, biiger fuel pump, regulator etc, all mapped via an apexi power fc.

Its last dyno session, it hit 506bhp at the flywheel at 1.1bar.

It completely took up all my disposable income :? ........but i loved it to pieces.

Never doing anything that extreme ever again tho  .

I'm looking forward to the next car, that will be a full on drift weapon .

Thanks for looking.

You had that gunmetal grey RX7!! ... I remember when that was up for sale - toyed with it myself - but the idea of it's fuel consumption put me off.
Very very nice !! ....

Thanks for putting these up Dan.........forget the Rex, that Sil80 is superb :thumb:

So what's next Dan? What are you driving at the moment and what are your plans for it~ I take it will be drift orientated as you spend half of your life on Driftworks :D

Come on spill the beans!

Excellent Murano :D , .....you made a wise choice!

It cost 75 quid to fill the tank in that, once, after the rebuild, normal driving conditions (a bit of booting and normal drvining), i managed at the most one day 220miles.
I actually used a tank of petrol in one day (when i lived in lincoln) going to the coast (skeggy  ) and back, thats a 110mile round trip!!!.....ok i admit i was shifting a little bit

Haha, yea, the sil80 got more attention due to the lunacy of it with its mismatched wheels and bizzarre looks!

At the moment im driving a crappy crx until next month and i get an FTO GPX for an everyday car.

Then for the drift car I absolutely love s13 silvia's (saloon version of the sil80), it will be done to UKDC and EDC regs (just in case 1 day i do get good enough to compete  ), so expect something along those lines.....OR maybe a r32 gts (would love to get an rb25 modified version).

Either way, whatever it will be, will more than likely be a rolling advert for PFC :D

Gonna order something end of april time.

220 miles per tanks .. dang - that's better than my skyline ... I reckon I get about 200 tops on mine. My girfriends parents live 75 miles away - I have to put in a tank to get there - then top it back up once there so I get home with half a tank left :) .... I get very jumpy i'm down to a quarter as it could be 30 - 40 miles left if i'm heavy footed.

Your car must be running very rich then, as mine is better than that and I would say mine gets used 'properly' and is a little higher output too. Perhaps it's the town driving that kills the MPG? Maybe something to be checked when dyno'd.

Sorry for the hijack.

Hi Dan,

Are you Dan Norton from the MRC ? I remember Pm'ing you about how much you had spent on that RX7. My id on there is gmogle.

I thought you emigrated to the US or something ?

Seem to remember a horror story about selling that RX7 (think it was yours but forgive me if not).

It was an awesome car and you painting the Blitz wheels sounded awful but seeing the end result I thought it looked great.

Fuel economy is never great in an RX7 !!

Look forward to meeting you, are you coming to the meet on the 28th ?

Hi Gmogle!!!!

yes, same Dan Norton off MRC!

Unfortunatly the move to Canada all fell through at the last moment :( , so took a step to getting my career on track with a move to Leicester with an engineering recruitment company, then left those guys after 9 months as i canvassed myself into my current position with Performance Friction Brakes as a technical sales engineer.......so, good things come to those who wait if you like, im pleased the canada thing fell through in a way, as i am now working in my dream environment...the motorsport industry!

Thats right, it was a horror story me selling it, i wont go into too many details, but it was a rough time for sure.....a person REALLY wasted my time, a good 2 months to be precise :(

That was one thing i was pleased about the car, i did quite a lot to it myself, such as fitting all the interior and some exterior, suspension, painting things and installing them etc, and i was really pleased with how the wheels came out, i remember posting on the MRC and folks thought i was crazy for even atempting to modify a set of blitz technospeeds  ....fair play, it could have gone horribly wrong!

Hows your RX7 going?....its looking good from your avatar.!! 8)

Yes, i will be at Snetterton on the 28th, so look forward to meeting you and eveyone else then for sure. ( will be specially nice to see the rx7 in action also 8) )

Double sorry for hijack - but maybe that's why mine flames on normal gear changes :)

P.s. that Sil is hardcore!.
