Very, very nice. You must be chuffed mate?
No shot's of the pimp two tone interior (if yours has it?)
I discussed the possibilities of one of these for me a while ago and it still is one 'the list'. Presuming yours has a few miles under its belt, due to the age- not the condition, how do you find the build quality? Is the leather standing up OK, any squeeks/rattles? I took an ML430 out for a test drive for the Mrs and was horrified by the amount of noise, although I have been assured that the ML's are well below par for a modern Merc. Her old SL was pretty good in that respect.
Will you be leaving this one alone then? Come to think of it, did you really mean 'sensible daily driver'? :rotflol:

I am pleased with it. I havent had a half decent car to potter around in for years. Mostly old Fords and I spent my weekends fixing them.
Its done 100k and drives like new. No squeeks rattles, groans or anything. Thats jinxed it.

I can't actually think of anything thats showing its age. I dont even think the steering wheel is. Oh, I've just thought, the volume button on the stereo is a soft rubber type thing and its seen better days.
It has full Black interior. I'm not a fan of the two tone but it wouldn't have put me off the right car. The leather is fine. There is a very very slight wear on the stitching of the drivers bolster but unless your looking hard you wouldn't notice it. I have seen some hideous versions like the purple and black one and the sterring wheels on the grey/white and black interior always seem to look dirty to me.
At the moment I plan on leaving it as is. I would rather spend my money on the other toys but then again its not really in my nature to leave cars alone. I must confess to have been looking at suspension upgrades for it.
It will be at the BP meet this month Stu. If you like you can take it out and see what you think for yourself.

Nice....
I have a E320 CDI as my runaround, i was going to sell it because my experience with MB hasnt been positive but i just had it serviced with the dealer in Basingstoke and i'm back in love with it again
Doesnt have the performance of the E55 but still has 380ft lb of torque thanks to the chip.
As you say loads of nice features , rain sensing wipers are great, the little switch in the ashtray which keeps the car warm if its parked for a short while is cool too
I know a good contact for upgrades;):)

Looks very nice mate
Certainly not bad for a runabout, most people end up with a little fiesta or something!
