My escort RS2000 mk6

Hi,this is my 96 RS2000.its def not running anything like the power ive seen lots of your cars are.mines 171bhp and 157lbs torque.
For a rough idea,its basically a bit nippier than a new cooper-s and tops out a bit higher.just for a relative idea.I know i know,i need more power lol.

2 litre 16v DOHC "14"
dastek unichip (precision mapped by Benchsound)
kent 2001 cams
New ford gasflowed head,3 angled seats.
all new rebuilt bottom end,lightend and balanced.
Apiro forza stainless sheilded induction.
Oil breather filter.
Idle valve breather filter.
polished cam cover with stainless spark lead plate and early RS logo decal.
Magnecor 8.5KV HT leads.
One off banshee motorsport induction pipe.
Gold painted calipers
a.s autospecialists parts include chrome strut tops,oil res cover and plug cover,pas,oil,water,breather caps,bonnet catch and bonnet stay,small engine bay plaque.

Avo coilovers.(lowered approx 55-60mm)
e-tech front strut brace .
Custom made rear strut brace with rose joint from a.l developments (freakpower)
Wolfrace kendo blacks 17"
Tinted windows.(rear darksmoked and limo black rear screen)

A very thorough spec, beautifully presented Escort and nicely understated too. I have used underground car parks for photo sessions (not those sorts, thats Madenglishmans thing ;) ) and they always make the cars look a bit more 'clean' and almost higher resolution to me. Could have got your Missus to smile a bit though ;)

i think the sheer cold had robbed any smiling left in the tank at that point and i cant say i blame her lol.
cheers for the comment.ive tried to steer clear of chav-tastic mistakes and styling,and gone for something understated but original.

Nice pics as always mate,

I can vouch for the finish and attention to detail on this car is gorgeous.

Nice to see it among true enthusiasts where she belongs :D

I can just see it rolling on a set of 16x8 Compomotive MOs.

I like the wheels that are on it now.

In fact, I like this car. So what it hasnt the power that will rip your insides out when pressing on, but it looks subtle and with some tweaks to the power will suprise quite a few people.
