Nissan ECU Editor

Hi all, this isnt a project car, but its certainly a car related project,

I have now added support for the SR's ECU to my ECU editor and its available for download here: http://www.kardiak.co.uk/downloads.php
(EDIT - Countles 1000s of lines of code written, but i cant type the url right... doh... fixed)

It features all the shinny extra bits the SR ECU supports like Boost Maps

there are S13 ROMS scattered obout the interweb too.

If anyone wants to take it a bit further than just having a look see, then i can mail you a keyfile so you can save your changes.

Id also love to know wether it works with S15 roms... i doubt theres much difference but itd be nice to see if anyones got any images kicking about?

Any bugs suggestions etc... would be much appreciated.

Beta Support for S14/15 64k Roms
Added TP Min
Added Feedback control
Added Accel Fuel Add for S13 and S14
Added Water temp 1 & 2
Added Boost Control 1 & 2
Added Speed limit 2 & 3
Swapped to 800x600 Minimum Resolution
Basic Open file from any dir, with drive listings
Improvements to menu system to prevent doubling up, memory wastage
Copes with missing ini files and ini file entries

Im going to knock up a set of tutorials, starting with "I hit fuel cut, how to i get rid" in the next couple of days as i apreciate theres no documentation yet. Although pressing F1 with the mouse over things works sometimes and there is a quick help.

Next step is support for the R32s ECU and then working my may through the skylines, just got to find a willing guineapig to let me play with their skylines brain

Nice work:D

Can you change the injector characteristics?

I ended up just editing the raw byte code when I got fed-up with that Japanese (ROMEdit?) strangenesses. All the various offsets are documented in the ROMEdit .ini files.

at the moment you'll be editing the tp/k values manually, but it wouldn't be too difficult to add an injector swapping routine, pick the old, size, pick the new and the software recalcs the tp/k values for you. I may just add that ;o)

The other request ive had is the ability to swap afms, sort of save and load for the VQ map only based on what afm your running.

This looks like the matrix to me and i really respect the knowledge you guys have, wish i did know a little bit more about electronics.

Theres the issue of injector opening and dead (refered to as "blast-off" and "Null" time in ROMEdit IIRC) times

yup ive got a bit that edits the what ive listed as injector latency (bottom left corner of the pic) thats the void blast off.

So are you just monitoring what your ecu is reading or are you trying to adjust it?

heh we all start somewhere.

What the software does is display and allow you to edit the fuel timing and other maps stored in the standard nissan ecu.

The next step is some live traces of what the cars up to

lol no, the red block is just the area of the map your editing, like a cursor/pointer.
