This is Morrigan at Goodwood back in Summer of 2005:

She then had a little cosmetic change to her front window...

This Image and this... Image and this. Image

I then took her to a drift event last year whereby I cooked the clutch slave cylinder  I was rather crap but it was fun!

I attended it with Richard (Lifechooser), a really good driver and drifter.

Lifechooser on steroids Image

I had a minor incident..which resulted in a requirement to change my lights...but you'll see the comparison pictures later on.

Unfortunately I encountered a cat on a dark road and it mullered my front nose :(

Oof! Image Ack! Image Urgh! Image Ouch! Image

I then fixed her all up (painting needs to be re-done...)

Grrr sexy! Image

A little extra item was replaced during the summer...

What is this now I wonder... Image Best guess everyone!

Then I decided to treat Morrigan to some under bonnet cosmetic treatment.

Heres a quick before and after comparison of the car with the old exhaust and new (you'll also notice the replacememnt lights mentioned earlier on)

Heres a couple of undershots of the custom exhaust system

Here is Morrigan at Brands Indy

Image

Only one picture as there is a video Sleepy's trip around Brands.

Right, I think thats a pretty comprehensive overview of Morrigan now!

I'll keep adding pictures as and when I find them!

Dyno chart stuff...

Car is running at 6psi with the solenoid off and 10psi with the solenoid on.

Here is a comparison between 6psi and 10psi dyno run Image

Here is a the 10psi dyno run on its own Image

Here is the 10psi run with the boost being controlled by throttle position Image

As you can see its 251bhp/223lbft which isn't shabby at 10 psi and 213bhp/183lbft at 6psi.

The car is running good at the moment, not finished by a long shot so plenty of little things to finish (like installing the guages! )

Enjoy!

Lovely car and spec. With the chassis of the MX5 and the extra power of the turbo, it must be brilliant on track.

What t urbo are you running and what figures have you achieved?

Lloyd :-D

It's a T3 varient, no idea which one it specifically it is whether its the sleeve or ball bearing version...it just makes the car faster. lol.

Figures are quoted in the first post, 251bhp/223lbft although on the oc forum there was a BIG debate over RR figures so, go figure!

What is missing is re-working the head to make it flow better... :(

Definitely uber fun around Brands Indy :D Can't wait for Castle Coombe but it looks like a busy day...

What a way to introduce your car! One of the best opening posts I've had the pleasure of reading and the specification should dispell any thoughts about a limp wrist
I remember seeing one of the guys from conedodgers at Wildtracks last year and those cars are a very potent machine in the correct and skilled hands.

You are very welcome on BigPower.

:D Thanks for the warm welcome :)

Car is filthy right now, not cleaned her in over 2 months!

That was almost a summary from when I bought the car back in April/May 2005 till today :)

My car isn't very potent at the driver sucks ballz! Evident in the still there dent in my rear left quarter panel after I lost it and the kinda shagged alloy whereby I lost it into a kerb. D'oh!

Hopefully I'll attend a Big Power meet soon, just a question of time and money at the moment :(

Also, I know I have an Autobacs D1 sticker on my window :) however it should read something like Baka-Drifter as I am just terrible.

I'll do a spec list later on when I can remember what I bought..lol.

It isn't enough..lol! At brands Indy I could NOT get the back end out on power and on track the rears don't light up in 3rd on full throttle whereas on normal roads flat out in 3rd is not what you want to do. lol.

Final aim is around 350bhp but I need to find a way of making the gearbox stronger. 6sp box for my car is around the

My mum had an MX5, I loved it although I felt it needed just another 50 bhp (she had the 150bhp version) to make it a bit special.

Yours must be great fun without being a handful.

Lovely colour + tastefully modded = awesome car !!!
