The smallest of bumps :)
A few more miles under the belt have highlighted a whine from the rear......could be old tyres, could be a knackered wheel bearing........ Apparently, the Mk4's (The Cupra shares the same platform) have a habit of knocking the inside edges off of the tyres and this can lead to a whine, much like a bearing, although the noise does not seem to improve whether you turn left or right as a failing bearing tends to.
This all came to a head after a recent holiday where the car took a lot of weight over a large distance. With no internet access and limited tools, it made for an interesting drive home with Tan, the two dogs and about 300kgs of kit!
A few phone calls and internet queries when I got in and I had a possible solution.......new tyres that happened to have another set of alloys attached :D

Nothing special tyre wise but the TT alloys do no harm. Much better offset and they fill the arches really nicely (in my opinion) It does seem to have helped with the noise from the back but it's not 100%. The car is due for an MOT this week, so I'll ask my friendly MOT man what he thinks once it's up in the air.

Badly needs an oil change for engine and gearbox so if anyone fancies getting their hands dirty............

The sticker was simply a way of adding some colour without using a roller ;) They have been on there for some while now........maybe two months??

My exact same thoughts. I too thought of gunmetal but they'll do for now......it's nice to see the wheels for once, after having black wheels for a while.

How did you get on today buddy?
