The edges come down to try and the inside goes up to funnel air under the car rather than escaping at the side. The central area is higher than the edges and is parallel to the ground. Good spot though :thumb:Scoobyweb wrote:Yeah great pic, Is it me or does it look like the front splitter is actually set up to give the front end lift.
Went over to Zen yesterday to get Paul to check out why the car was running lean on idle at 17:1 with fuel trims all over the place. The car was running lumpy and not great fun to drive. (AFR was mostly fine whilst on the move)
After checking all IC/induction hoses for leaks, splits and anything out of the ordinary and checking dump valve, it was decided that the MAF sensor is probably the cause. This may have been dirty at the time of the last mapping or deteroriating. Paul cleaned the MAF and by amending the map managed to get it idling right and a lot smoother in closed loop which made for a much more pleasant drive home that is for sure :thumb: It seems a lot smoother coming on and off boost than it has for a while so this issue may have existed for some time.
I am back there next thursday for a full mapping session and we can then swap the maf to see if this entirely fixes the issue and get the full potential out of the car ready for Knockhill.
While I was there, I had a lot of time to study the Zen TA car 8)

Industrial espionage will get you chucked in gaol, however in this case i think it's allowed
By the way.... How's the old ECU going, have you had it back from the USA yet or will it be a while longer? Interested to find out how it's functioning after you fried it and Tactrix fixed it.
Glad to hear the car is running well again. Well done to Zen Performance and your wallet :thumb:
