I've read that thread loads of times. He's done well with the car and his budget (much more confident than me in terms of welders, techie bits) Mine will be going on the road a bit more regularly over the next fortnight and I'm hoping to start putting a dent into the work I want to complete.

I should really save some money as I've just booked a holiday for the start of March and then I'm off again in May...........

Wheels dropped to Dave at Motorvation today, as soon as I have some tyre prices mate, I'll drop you a line. We also discussed the removal of the channels for the seat mounts, concern was raised about the strength remaining in the floor having done that. How would you get round that?

3mm plate either side of the holes.
Thanks for trying to sort the tyres out. It will be nice to get the 'proper' wheels on and some decent tyres.
Are you away this weekend? (PM/email if you prefer)

I have ordered a few bits online this week but delayed despatch has kicked fitting anything in the bollocks :D The only Spazda related stuff this weekend will be driving; I took the car out for a spin last night and was pleasantly surprised/amused by the handling and tail out stuff. At virtually no speed at all, I turned right at a set of lights and on a trailing throttle only the back came around..........and this was all at little more than walking pace :) Couldn't help but giggle and it tells me that the tyres are truly shagged. The sooner I get the new wheels from Rob, the better (The 14's will be shod with road tyres and the 15s will be shod with sports tyres for summer/track use)

Have priced up an upper strut brace (
