Reading throught this thread again it sounds like really good fun ! It's great starting off with a nice car and just getting it better and better ! Hats off to you Dan for taking the approach you have !
Someone did ask if you were going to track day it ?
Well speaking as someone who had a NA supra a few years back and did numerious track days go for it !!!! It's still 3.0 litre quick and with the Billies on it you will be really suprised how planted it is !
I would recommend Braided lines and 5.1 fluid though as it is a big car to slow down and if your replacing all the brake discs etc it would seem silly not too.....
I had heaps of fun with my NA and I'm sure you will too then you can go for a TT later and really scare yourself.....

Good luck mate ! Look forward to seeing it soon !

Chear Paul, thats exactly why it's staying that way :nod: haha go for it, just hope that you never replace the old girl with one! :auto:

Thanks John :) nope this Supra is staying away from any trackday orientated eventhough i have no doubt that it would be a fair amount of fun. Especially as even a 3.0 na isnt exactly slow either. :) As for the handling, with those bilsteins and tein springs that thing as Stuart will back me up on is such a firm ride. a world of difference in control, grip and even comfort from the MR2. Brakes wise, for now it's going to stay with the rubber lines as it's not a high priority having them changed. But maybe one day when they loose their strength. And thanks again mate :thumbs:

Well today i managed to replace all four discs but only 6 of 8 pads... the nearside front caliper.... christ where do we start. the pad retention pins we're all flakey and rusty. they were as straight as Louis Spence and the heads were mashed, twisted and upset pretty bad. it was like a nail head!
So sod this, after taking off a piece from my finger i'll let someone else have the stress of removing the pins and changing those pads over..

However i did manage to fit my front wheelspacers on thanks to the mile long studs on the front! spaced OEM's ftw :thumbs:

I've got some long wheel studs you can have if the Supra has the same thread rate as the Evo.

Yep was a real offer. I got a set of longer wheel studs when I got spacers for the other wheels I have but I never had to use them.

thanks again though Tony :), really was a nice offer mate.

Okay so today! drove over to Toyota to buy the new retention pins and clips for the dodgy front caliper and whilst there asked if they could look at it. That didnt go anywhere as the guy there said that they don't bother servicing the calipers as they just replace them instead! D: so sod that! imagine the price of a new uk spec caliper just for the sake of two badly mashed pad pins?

So dad had a look, and asked me to remove the caliper so he could fix it. and that he did within 20 minutes :D so awesome stuff, refitted the caliper and put the new stuff in, bled the caliper and BOSH all corners replaced :nod: so thats one major thing out of the way for the old girl.

Tonight i'm also chatting to a guy with a complete active spoiler (which is very rare to have for sale) it basically comprises of;

Active spoiler blade
Motor
Manual switch
Ecu and auto switch
Undertray

which is totally fucking awesome! :D and at a snip too, neary half the price of other people selling them. so once i have organised the courier, should have it mid/late next week. For those that don't know what an active spoiler is on a Supra, this is it;

ignor the horrible 'supra' decal :) now 'if' the SZ-R loom doesnt have a provision plug for this active spoiler, i'll default to plan A that i've had all long which is just fitting the spoiler in it's permanent down position and selling off all the other useful bits that people go mental over. but if the plug in the loom is there, double whammy :)
