decided on kawasaki zx9 carbs, bring on the sound of induction, the guy that run these carbs used to rev his kr to 8.5k revs (apparently)
Small one's are more juicy

Is it the knife edged crank that enables that rev range Trev? Was he running a remapped ECU? You just need some decent cams and you'll be away now :D

as far as im aware the guy that run the carbs had a standard bottom end with a ported head.

the engine im getting has been run on injection (not for long :D :D )

If that is a standard bottom end, that's very promising :D

fingers crossed it may be its maiden voyage, for a test more than anything.

i cant wait either.

well today was spent driving to nottingham with the trailer to collect the blue mk1 to rob its engine etc..
all went to plan and no dramas :D
i have everything to complete the project now apart from rollcage but thats on order and should be ready in around a week
just need to start twiddling some spanners now.
