Fantastic update - do you have the model number for that cage?.

Looking at the pics it looks like you didn't need to make any mounting points - i.e. you've just drilled holes ... is this the case?.

There is no way Mike (or anyone with any sense) would just bolt this to the chassis. All cages require reinforcing plates that are 3mm thick (MSA minimum) x 120mmx120mm to bolt up to. I think Mike's pictures show the ones for the A and B pillars.....I assume the rear suspension ones are mounted through the wheel arch; maybe Mr B can confirm?

Sorry ben i have no idea of model of cage as this came with the race shell.

The rear part of the cage is bolted though the rear arch with a 3mm plate under the rear arch.

The front legs are also bolted to the floor with another 3mm plate under the car.

There is another floor plate welded to the floor of the other shell for the front legs will grind this out when i get a chance and can fit at a later date

The only place you have to weld in brackets is the main hoop to the floor as this uses the inner cill and lower lip as its strength point for the main hoop.

hope this helps mike.

Nice upgrades Mike :)

It will be interesting to see how your seat fitting goes, so please make sure you get plenty of photos of that part of the build please.

See you at Inters, if not before :D
