Dunk, it isnt actually, there is a curve in the bumper (meant to be there!!) that makes it look like it is on the wonk. But it is actually straight.

Of course, the mapping mate, yeah that is also left to do !!

8) That looks VERY nice Gareth. Mean, evil, aggressive and manly. All the things you're not etc etc :blah: (insert usual abuse here and wait for insulting retort  )

Looking good mate :)

How are you going to secure the bonnet? The stock latch doesn't fit on there does it?

Cheers,
Alex

Wow. Goes to prove the FD only needs the subtlest of mods to look quite stunning. Well done G :thumb:

Cheers Alex, it actually has a special catch that fits on the stock fitting. Gary from Rotaryart designed it and has tested it to speeds over 130 mph so that is enough for me !!! I havent had a chance to test it at high speed but have done 60 in it and it is fine. Spend a lot of time getting it to sit right so should be ok. If not I have some 'aerocatches' like Stu has on his GTR that I could fit.

Cheers for the comments Stu, I dont want to spray the bottom lip because it is flexible and have seen people do it but then the paint crack when the lip has caught on anything.

Besides I would rather one of these bumpers....sorry for the big pic.

It is a 99 spec bumper with a different lip. If you look at Alexbs car he has the early bumper but later lip. The 99 spec bumper has a number of advantages over the early model, a much larger intake in the centre for the radiator and also the oil cooler holes are bigger. Plus the front lights have been redesigned. Just gotta wait for a good price for one plus the lights, reinforcement bar etc (1k at least new, at the mo !!!).

I hadnt actually put any of the 'trim cleaner' stuff on that makes the lip look a lot darker. Will make sure I do before the meet on the 12th.

Thanks for all the comments, the car is finally getting to how I had envisaged it when I bought it 3 years ago !! Been driving it yesterday and getting a lot of admiring glances at it now, I must say I love looking in the rear view mirrors and seeing the spoiler !!!! Easily pleased me !!

Lots left to do and already have the fuel pump to fit and then gotta book the mapping in for sept. Not really after more power, 320 at the fly is plenty for me. However there are plenty of turbo kits on MRC at the mo that are getting me thinking (although house purchase first  ).

Cheers again for the comments, I keep going in the garage from time to time to check it out lol
