Had the car up on stands as the wheels were getting the Michelins put on.
Naturally the new Volks got clayed, polished and waxed.
Glad I did as they came up pretty nice. :)

While she was up on stands I decided to drop the arch liners and give her a good scrub. Dropped the discs off to clean them up too. The front calipers are getting an overhaul this winter and the rear Brembos are getting sold.

However a mishap with the pressure washer meant I managed to rip some paint clean off my front fog cover.

With that done I figured they would need re painting anyway so decided to redesign the intake ducts up front for something a bit more aggressive.

So the covers have had the chop and will get all new designed ducts grafted in.
You'll see they have been cut inline with the flutes on the Prodrive covers.

To be continued....

Superb as always Frayz, how did I miss you got some great wheels !!

Like I always say your attention to detail is second to none and every bit is carefully thought out and everything done looking better than a 'factory fit'.

Cheers buddy, I do try.

My life has changed a heap since buying our house and planning a wedding etc. Time and money for the car has been cut right back as these things inevitably do. However I've still got so many ideas for it, and the reality is that I can't afford to buy the GT3 I so long for.
So realistically I'll probably end up keeping her and still tinkering as and when I have time.

I've been doing a lot of the Pistonheads/ProjectOctane runs recently. (Early morning raids out with eclectic and exotic machinery followed by breaky and a natter usually)
I've been really enjoying the car a lot more and am focusing my next lot of tweeks on making the car more focused and enjoyable to drive.
I still really want to cage it to add safety and really stiffen the shell up, however I'm torn between a full cage with some low door bars for practicality or just a GT3/R26-R rear cage. However I want the stiffness so I'm leaning more towards the full cage. But I'd like to keep the carpets & doorcards etc.

However that'll be post wedding. This winter I'll be doing a brake overhaul and repaint in red, refreshing the dash and swapping all the Defis to a single Toucan touch screen. I'm tired of the "spaceship" interior and want to focus less on all that crap and more on driving.

I'll keep you all posted as I progress. Slowly :D

Wheels are looking great but what the fuck happened with the pressure washer?? Animal! My money's on a stone chip weakening the paint adhesion locally and then you've gone all Bruce Willis with your Karcher :banghead:

And you were doing so well ;)

I know Stu. Lol.
I was doing the underside and merly brushed past the front with the lance.
Ordinarily I don't like to get to close with them because of the damage they can do. I think it was exactly that, stone chip on paint that wasn't keyed well to the surface.

Oh well, only an excuse toake it better than it was. ;)

Very nice.

Whats the plan with the rear brembos? Are you going back to standard or for something else?

They are standard on mine mate. Well except the PF pads.

I'm going for an AP kit to match the front setup.
