Cheers Pabs. The rest of the chain fell out of the hole in the tx box tonight as I moved it out of the garage.

Was going to drive the car to Whifbitz as Daz is going to stick the new TX box on on Monday (have decided against looking for uprated ones as I have one sitting up there on my old gearbox so might as well just bung it on and get back on circuit). I figured that as it's separate to the gbox it couldn't do it any damage but having spoken to a few people there was a risk that any bits of debris in there could lock it up so I trailered it in the end.

So GTR should be fighting fit again on Monday and I'll be looking for trackdays :D

So does that mean the gearbox has to come off to check inside for debris?

Clearly I don't know much about GTR drivetrains

no the debris in the tx box could have locked it up apparently (I know about as much as you). But the box has gotta come out again to swap the tx box over

What a ball ache!!

Is there any form of cooling on the transfer box or any way of strengthening the stock box?

no cooling, not looked at upgraded tx boxes yet. But basically the chain snapped which would indicate it was worn/got damaged rather than heat related I reckon. Could be something to do with the launches, could've gone anyway, hard to know on such an old car I suppose

Nah, I've heard he's so slow that he has to swap SD cards half way round his flying lap!
