hahahaha :)
That would be me!
It's no biggie, but certainly make sure that you dry everything paintwork wise (panels, shuts, glass etc) and allow the garage to air so that you encourage the moisture to dry out promptly. At least it was undersealed so that's the potentially hidden damp taken care of ;)

What goodies did you get Dom?

I felt pleased getting my car port back after the MX5 left these parts. I would be bloody delighted if I had a nice warm garage to hide the BMW in, I would nothing short of ecstatic :D

Cheers guys, its feels like bloody ages since I started this quest. One of those jobs which got more complex as it unfolded, anyway she's tucked up now.

I got some more autoglym bits, I however do need something to clean my engine bay. Got anything you would recommend Stu?

Jeez it looks empty in there mate. Get some tools and bits to make the car feel homely :)

Nice work though and it fits in there well.

Haha funny you should say that I was just in there having a look over things and I had to hold myself back from taking the IC out and starting on the ducting! I have got the car booked in next week to get my silenced mid pipe and wastegate plumbed in so I need to make sure I keep her on the road for now.

I use trade products like all-purpose cleaners Dom. Cleaning engine bays up is more about technique than products. There are a few do's and don't's of course but I can talk you through that when I see you or by all means send me a PM :)

You'll basically need

Several small brushes
Good quality non-caustic all purpose cleaner diluted to about 1:20 with water
A couple of spray bottles (one with your diluted cleaner and one with water)
Loads of microfibre towels/cloths
A vinyl and rubber treatment product like Aerospace 303 or Autoglym Vinyl care
Metal polish and fine wire wool
Lots and lots of elbow grease :)

Small update today, got a silenced mid pipe installed, wide band sensor relocated (was rubbing on the gearbox), waste gate plumbed in and finally the wiring to the battery in the boot has been improved. I got the work done by power and performance in Honningham, real good old fashioned company. The quality of the work and customer service were top notch, I will be going back there again without hesitation.

Here are some pics, sorry they are not great but it gives you an idea...

The drive home in the snow was fun to say the least!

Whole reason I have done this is to try and get the car on the track as it was too loud, however think I am not quite there...Does anyone know somewhere I can get the car decibel tested?

Looks good Dom; underseal looks epic too

In terms of decibel testing you could always ask the track at Snetterton. I know they are not that local to you, but at least they know the procedures inside and out, and they have been happy to help in the past.

Call James on 01953 887303 and explain that you'd love to do events at the circuit but are concerned about limits; can they help? (Mention that you're on the forum too if that helps)

Good luck.

Someone definitely went mad with the tar brush :) Looks good though.

Great work though mate, it should be a fair bit quieter now especially on boost.

I hate to say it but I would have thought great big Apexi isnt the most track friendly exhaust. Two fk off massive drain pipes is always gonna be loud :)
Guess it depends on the track though as they all have different levels. But yep do as Stu says for piece of mind.

Or if you are feeling flush dont Maplin do something to test noise ?
