Got the alarm immobiliser working now, the engine is full of fluids
and it turns over but it won't start until the ignition key is sync'd up to the new ECU so just doing a few minor jobs like changing two nearside/offside inside driveshaft boots that have splits in them.
Another one of those things that won't let the car get through an MOT so has to be done. I can't get the car sync'd up till next week so i will get the rest of it back together and make it look like a car again.
I have to say though i think it looks very cool stripped out and has given me some ideas for the future
:D:D although i'm not saying what on account that i have no more money to spend. However, I think Gerry's monster wagon looks good with a cage installed 8)

Frankensteins Monster Lives..........
Well...... ))))))))))))) IT'S ALIVE ((((((((((((((
Car is running today. Got Paul down from Zen to sync up the keys. Started up first time, very impressed and relieved to say the least.
Job Done!!
:D:D
Sounds effing fabulous. Has lost a bit of the burble but sounds proper scooby racing now like one of those TA cars. Not too loud though which is good for trackday purposes thanks to the resonator in the center pipe. 8)
Must be a result of the GT spec headers and single high flow cat in the downpipe, not to mention the meaty 3" bore!! I like this different sound
I'm a very happy bunny now :woohoo:
Manage to get both offside/nearside inner front driveshaft boots done and put a new lower ball joint on the offside front. All that happened was the boot split on the ball joint and you cannot buy the boot seperate. It's a Subaru stealer part only so i had to buy the whole thing.
I just have a few jobs left to do like put all the interior/carpet back in, change the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator, put all the undertrays back on and bingo!!
Should be getting it insured Thursday, and i'll book it in for an MOT for either this Friday or Monday next week, get through that and then i am taxed for 1st June. Fingers crossed for that.
I can't wait to get back out on the road properly. I've been driving Hazel's Lexus IS220D around when she's home and although it's a very nice and supple drive, is whisper quiet inside and has a fabulous Harmon Kardon sound system........it's not the same really
I need a buzzzzzzz......and my old scooby is it!!!!
More to follow :thumb:

Thanks for the compliments.
Stuart i think you forgot to add 'stupidity' to guts to take it on.
Quite a learning curve though and i think i'm still only scratching the surface. Had a nice complimemnt from Paul today, he thought i'd done a good job and said it's quite a lot of work and some undertaking but well worth the effort.
Looking at the old wiring loom that's hanging up on my engine crane, my old engine clamped to the engine stand and old exhasut system and headers in bits on the floor, i think i've come a fair way and it's been quite an adventure so far.
I can honestly say i'm going to have a pretty huge grin on my face for some time to come.
Cheers :thumb:
