Cr@p weather for mapping

Post by duncan »

So I painted my spare set of wheels :)

As my other set of white wheels have my road tyres on them, I needed another set of white wheels for the 888's when they get here.

The base wheels were cr@ppy gold std items 8J x 17 but after a good clean and 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of gloss white they look like this:

and just for Stuart ;)

:lol: - nope I hate cleaning, it just they look so good in white in my opinion (although some people hate them) but way better than gold :D

The car was at the last meet Ian and will be at the next all being well :thumb:

Duncan, agreed the white look really cool on certain colour cars, but I could not handle the cleaning hence;

Glad to see your attention to detail had prevailed. Gold centre on white rims looks shit, that's official, so the white looks inordinately better.

Good work. Sorted that oil leak instead of all of this superfluous tat ;) (Excuse me, bit pissed)

Mind you I like them to look black from brake dust - it is fast dirt rather than grime :)

AVCR ...

I should have done this sooner :D

What a great tool for quickly getting to where you want.

Running at 1.6 bar now and it is .... erm... quite nice :) :lol:

Nicest thing is that it will hit this in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th with a little spike in boost on gear change. Still a little fettling to do on it to bring boost up right at the top of the tree but being able to hold 1.5 bar to redline is pretty scarey and rather nice.

Once this is completely set up for 1.6 bar I will move onto the 'Race' map.
