Not much of an update but thought I should just keep you informed as whats been going on with the car.

Following on from the cars last couple of outings a few minor issues are in need of sorting. At various times during the day she managed to spit out fluids of most types:toetap05: So some work is needed.

1. Power steering fluid leaked out of cap - Now sorted, keep level just above minimum. Will also be looking into different fluid with higher boiling point.

2. Brake fluid very slightly leaked out of cap - New cap needed.

3. Oil came out of catch tank - Correct size catch tank fitted problem sorted.

4. Petrol came out of filler cap - New cap needed.

5. New air intake hose needed from filter to turbo to give better flow when on boost.

6. Water temperature gauge packed up on the way home. Always wanted an aftermarket one so now i have an excuss to get one.

The plan has been drawn up to see all these jobs done before it's next outing on 7th August at Ford Fair. Will also give it an oil change once the supply of oil, engine additives and gearbox additive arrives from Liqui Moly.

The magazine exposure is starting to payoff, as I had an email from Liqui Moly asking if they could put larger stickers on the car. The next day I had a phone call from them and we will now be using Liqui Moly products right through 2012:hurray:

No major issues with that lot then.......nice to get through a shakedown session relatively unscathed, especially after all of your traumas!

Glad to hear their endorsement is rolling out for next year. With the new bigger stickers, just leave enough room for Bart to see out of the car ;)

when paul told me about this was well happy but i did say to him that
with the graphics he has to be carefull as he is not messing about with
the design of the car, i think this argument will run for a while as to were
they are going to be placed:sifone:

Not really much going on at the moment...makes a nice change:)

1. Water temperature gauge fitted.
2. Oil temperature gauge now working ....Thanks Jon:thumbs:
3. New rubber seal fitted to fuel filler cap.
4. Undertray changed as the one on the car had broke...Don't know when.

Alan was a bit gutted yesterday as once he's finished working on the car he likes to do a fun job, usually involves power tools or a hammer:banghead:. His fun job yesterday was to install an intercooler spray set up, (that he nicked off Gordon's Subaru Impretza STi), sadly the battery on his drill died:cuss:

Got a mate coming round in a couple of weeks to give the engine bay a bit of a clean.

May not be much, but progress is progress  Surprised Bart hasn't got a corded drill in his arsenal of toys :smash: maybe the perfect birthday present ;)
