tyres are sorted for 2013
225/45/17's x a few

Image

and a smaller suede steering wheel was a must

Image

yes its fake carbon and yes i will be stripping it off

got a set of yoko's fitted to the team dynamic white wheels today and had a test fit, well they fit but i need to raise the coilovers up a bit as they are bloody close, looks good but they will rub
anyway threads look pretty good but tying to budge them i cracked a spring mount :(
a phone call to tein and now have a set of new platforms on the way, bit of hassle as i now need to take them off and strip them down, but should be all nice and free afterwards

Those tyres are just being greedy :D The always make such an understated impact on a car to me. Proper sports tyres on a car like an Impreza go un-noticed by 99% of the public by to petrolheads they are something special.

Anyway.........nice hoops and nice steering wheel too, you fake carbon loving tyre whore

i went over to mike's yesterday to drop his tyres off and be nosey and got the idea of putting the boost gauge in the centre air vent, anyway this afternoon i thought id get busy for an hour

Image

and fitted

Image

i also nicked the quaife gear knob from jaffa to see if it fits
and hey presto

Image

car is still running like a bag of shit, which i think is coilpacks
i bought a set of 4 on ebay recently but when i opened them up and inspected them they are knackered and i mean proper knackered just from vision
one of them even has a cut down threaded bolt put in the bottom instead of the springy bit and wrapped with electrical tape, another has a whopping great crack in it
told the seller this and he claims they are perfect , unreal anyway i'v opened a case so hopefully will get resolved, even with him saying i am planning to send mine back to him and keeping these, some people eh
i mean just look at the state of these

Image

Image

also fitted a set of a048 tyres on the white team dynamic wheels which are et40 and fuck me they sit pretty flush to the arch, look the tits but will rub like a bitch as i had 40 profiles on it previous, so needed to raise the teins, disaster stuck when i cracked a spring seat adjuster even using the correct tool, bugger
so a call to tein and they are sending out some sniney new ones, so suspension off again :(

i'l get there in the end
