Thanks buddy  I have plenty of solvent (legal I might add ;) ) and loads of tools. Tried freeze spray with mixed results.......sure it will be fine (the car is being built for the Compact Cup series).

well another saturday and more work on the old girl went alittle over the top with a fire wall i was doing found my old fire wall from the type r but was quite heavy.
and i still had quite a bit of ali sheet left over from doing the two flat floors in the golfs which was quite alot thinner.

so used the heavy one as a template the sheet was quite big didnt wont to cut it with the hand cutters as i would of bent up the other part of the sheet so decided to score it with a stanley knife and try and bend it and break on the line but as i bent it over it took on a shape i thought i could use removed the rear shelf put it up to the score line and drew round the shape of the rear shelf.

with a few test fits and a bit of trimming the end result was pretty good.

The reason for this is adding a swirl pot to the tank.
Image
and then after all the work it gets fully covered
Image
fitted a new illegal front plate as didnt really like the one stuck on the bonnet and its not really going to be used on the road everyday.

Then finally got a chance to give it a blast its obvious that i havent been in a turbo car for a long while as this felt ballistic and couldn't believe my old car had 450 hp so god nows what that would of felt like and then youve got logans and garys evo's which would of felt like you where going to the moon.

Was it just an eBay special or maybe a breakers?
