Updated Project /Stability control
been working on the undertray for the car today and had a load of fun making it :-D
there are only 2 pics at the moment as my photobucket is being gay
after marking out were the back part needed to be cut for the wheels these areas were cut
out. then it was time to mark up the lines of the 2 splitters of the bumpers, about 3" drfference
so there will be a inch over hange for the saphire bumper and sit flush with the escort one.

time to paint it so ive used red engine enamal paint :-D

more pics will be added as and when can get them uploaded

Have you sussed how you are going to attach it so that you can remove it relatively easily ?
yes mate, that was the hardest thing to come up with but ive sussed it. there will be 3 brackes in the middle
about 3"long to sit on the lower cross member, the back will be clamped onto the middle of the anti roll bar
as this part dont move and the front will be bolted onto the splitter.
there is about a 3" gap at the back so it can suck some air out the back of the engine so its not contaned in situ.
some other pics from yesterdays work

right alan has been busy today finishing off the the front undertray for the car, a few edges need to be cleaned up
but so far he has done a good job
3 brackets that sit on the lower cross member.

bracket on the cross member. the middle one is tight on and the 2 side ones pull the tray up

the back is connected to the anti roll bar with 2 clips

the front of the tray sticking out by a inch and bolted to the splitter

the underside of the car, it will be painted and not left bear.
